County counts.

I can virtually guarantee, unless you act like a real jerk to your attorney and the ASA and the judge, that in Cook County if the case is not thrown out at the first hearing for probable cause (even if there is good probable cause, they just want to get rid of the case) that you are offered a probation deal. No time at all inside but still a felon or offered school where depending on the wording, suspended sentence, conditional discharge or a finding of not guilty, after you successfully complete school or rehab.

Now in Kane or Du Page it depends on how Republican the specific judge and if they are running for judge again soon.
Most of downstate all judges are Republican but are not completely nuts so they tend to go with if your an outsider, prison time or a local, pat on the head and say don’;t do it again.

Oh ya, Possession of Controlled Substance (PCS in Cook County or UPCS in the rest of the state), Cocaine, less than 5 grams is a Class 4 Felony. A Class 4 felony has a possible sentence of 1-3 years in the Department of Corrections (prison). The fine can be $ 25,000

That is 1-3 in prison. Jail time is the time you spend while waiting for yrou trial if you are not bonded out. You do not get jail time for a felony. Controlled substance cannot be reduced to a misdemeanor.
