What Is an an Addict? How Are Drug Dealers Bad?

Question by Vanessa: What is an an addict? How are drug dealers bad?
I need a brief description of what a drug addict is, or just an addict in general. I’m trying to say.. something about how they (can be) selfish people who only care about themselves and achieving personal satisfaction (need better word) regardless of the consequences or who they hurt other than themselves. Also a short description on how drug dealers ruin people’s lives by contributing to their habits. I’m having a really hard time putting my thoughts into words. please help.

And if you’re going to tell me to feel sorry for them, don’t bother. i feel no pitty for drug abusers. and i do know what it feels like. drugs ruin families, beat wives, kill children, cause violence. nothing good comes from them and people who think they cause an awesome time. is a few hours of fun really worth a lifetime of ruin? i don’t think so. This is just a question. Thank you for those who actually try to help.
